The Polar Duck Dip is Camp Occohannock’s 18th Annual Fundraiser. We are non-profit and this event helps us to raise money to improve facilities and to provide scholarships for summer camp. We have seen growth in our Annual Duck Dip and are thankful for all the generous sponsors.
The Polar Duck Dip is ready for another year of support so we can continue to be a ministry where all are welcome, faith is strengthened, and lives are changed. This year our goal is to raise $100,000 for ministry to specifically help us renovate the Kitchen and Dining areas of camp. We will also be utilizing the funds to continue to build upon our sailing program by adding a facility that can house and work on boats. Funds will help us resource tools/equipment for teaching sailing and eventually providing overnight sailing trips for summer campers.

Our 1st Annual Duck Dash will happen the morning of January 17th. Runners will journey through beautiful property of woods and open spaces. The the culmination of the dash will take place in front of our iconic view of the Occohannock Creek and the Chesapeake Bay.
Check-in will take place around 8:00am and the dash will begin promptly at 9:00am. 5K will take place with medals for age categories, as well as, overall male and female competitor. The fun run will be approximately a 1 mile dash for kids 12 and under. Awards for both the 5K and kids dash will take place around 10:30am followed by a meal, program, silent auction, and our Polar Duck Dip.
We hope that runners not only enjoy the race but also decide to participate in the other happenings of the day including our program and meal! The cost for runners is $40 which includes a T-Shirt. Winners will be announced at the event, medals awarded and recognized through our social media platforms!

Supporters may not be able to attend our Duck Dip and 5K in person but have a desire to participate. This is why we created the online event through our Facebook and Instagram pages.
The Online Splash will offer regular updates of our in-person in event. In addition, there will be an opportunity for people to participate at their location by seeking out sponsors and submitting a video to be shared at the Duck Dip. Make a splash by finding a nearby stream, creek, swimming pool, or bath tub to show your support and help us meet our goal of $100,000
