Traditional Summer Camps
Little Hand, Little Feet”: Rising: PK-1st (Ages: 4-6)
Want more than what a day care or VBS can offer? This program will introduce each camper to the fun of being outside and the basics of outdoor living. We know it is hard for many children to be away from their parents for a long amount of time and this Day Camp is the perfect place to start. Our focus is to help create a sense of independence in a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for each camper.
*Drop off 8am inside the screened porch.
*Pick up 5pm inside the screened porch.
“Young Explorers Rising: 1st-3rd (Ages: 6-8)
This program is for children that are ready to step out in a small adventure of three days and two overnight stays at camp. Children at this age are exploring the world around them at full force with all their senses overwhelmed. What better place and time to introduce them to nature and God’s creation. This program is to strengthen the confidence in each camper In their decision to be away from home overnight for a few days.
“Adventure Seekers”: Rising: 3rd-5th (Ages: 8-10)
This program is the next level of adventure for those that are ready to dive right into a weeklong, non-stop, and exciting camp experience. This is where campers will begin to develop leadership skills, responsibilities for their actions, become a team player, and to care for the safety and wellbeing of the unit. Camp will introduce outdoor camping (Wednesday Night) where campers will learn to build their campfires, cook their food, set up tents and bond with their friends around a campfire and much, much more.
“Extreme Campers”: Rising 6th-8th (Ages: 11-13)
If you’re new to camping or returning for the tenth time this is where your summers will never be the same. This program builds on the foundation that camp is known for. Get involved with more rope course elements like the 30-foot-tall rock wall, and overnight canoe trip, staying up later, more games, more fun, and spending more time getting to know your counselors and friends in an all-out camping experience.
“Thrill Seekers”: Rising 8th-10th (Ages: 13-15)
These Camps are for the older youth looking for something that will teach them new skills, life lessons, responsibility, and teamwork. These camps will get you to new heights, push your limits, and even get you out of your comfort zone. Thrill Seekers is a great program that will get your campers thinking about becoming a Counselor in Training in the future with Camp OOTB. You won’t be alone and your staff are trained and ready for these adventures of a life time.

Appalachian Hiking Adventure (ages 13-16)
|
Last year we saw a group of campers over coming challenges and being rewarded with beautiful scenery, lasting friendships, and a special trip to Pizza Hut when the trail crossed a small town. If looking for something to give you the edge you have been looking for in a camp? The Appalachian Trail is one of the most traveled mountains and we don’t want you to pass this up. Spend a few days hiking and camping in shelters along the AT as the unit works its way to our sister camp, Camp Bethel. The campers will have a day of rest at Camp Bethel with a dip in the pool and other camp activities. Come join us on the next steps to an awesome adventure.
* Pastor Jon Woodburn will return for his 4th hike to be our Spiritual Leader. *Director Michael Henry (Wilderness First Aid and CPR Certified) will lead this group again & all other Counselors (First Aid & CPR/AED Certified) will be guiding the campers. |
