Sixth Annual Advent Open House
Sunday, December 6, 2009 2-5:00 p.m.
Experience Christmas at Camp, including camfire, hot apple cider, hot chocolate, holiday treats, story time with the director hay rides, children's crafts, and live music by Fred Kern and company. All are welcome and no RSVP is necessary. This event is our gift to you. Music provided by 'Pound Net'.

Second Annual Polar Duck Dip
Saturday, February 20, 2010, 11:00 a.m.

Plan to arrive at 11:00 am for registration and join the other “ducks” to take a dip in the Occohannock Creek. An afternoon of fun, camp fire, coffee and hot chocolate. This is a fund raising event to support the ministries of Camp Occohannock. Contact the camp office 757-442-7836 ootbay@verizon.net www.ootbay.org, to register.

Summer Camps (Dates: TBA)

All God's Children Camp (Date: TBA)
A camp ministry for children of incarcerated mothers. Campers enjoy full camp activities and conflict resolution training. Volunteer adult mentors (at least 17 years old) provide supervision, companionship, and compassion. Camp staff led activities. This program is sponsored by the Virginia Conference United Methodist Church, contact the Conference Office, Director of Children, Youth, and Young Adult Ministries at www.vaumc.org for an awesome volunteer experience.

Group Dynamics Weekend - March 13-15, 2009
This weekend is part of the hiring process. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend. The camp director and program coordinator will use this time to gather information about each individual through group dynamic activities and how well individuals react to situations that may occur at camp. Applicants will particpate in a number of group building activities that will get them to step out of their comfort zones. Thoughout the weekend the camp director and program coordinator will be interviewing applicants.
