Youth and adults from up and down the east coast come to the Eastern Shore to
glean
the farmers’ fields of the crops left behind. These are food items that
machinery
missed, or just were not the correct shape or size. Thousands of pounds of produce
will be delivered to the local food bank to help those in need. Is God calling

AND ME” BACK TO SCHOOL RALLY
August 24, 2013 11:00 am - 3:00 pm - A Back to School Rally for children ages
pre-school through grade 6. This event includes yummy food, games, crafts,

ANNUAL POLAR DUCK DIP - Saturday January 25,
2014
Plan to arrive one hour early for registration and join the other “ducks” to
take a dip in the Occohannock Creek at or near high tide. A day of fun, campfire,
food, coffee, hot chocolate and more is available for purchase. This is a
fundraising event to support the ministries of Camp Occohannock. Registration

GOD’S CHILDREN CAMP - August 4-9, 2013
This is a camping ministry for children of incarcerated parents. Campers enjoy
full
camp activities and conflict resolution training and mentoring. Volunteer adult
mentors (at least 17 years old) provide supervision, companionship, and compassion.
Camp staff lead camp activities. This program is sponsored by the Virginia Conference

REACH
CAMP - August 11-17, 2013
Calling all youth in grades 6-12: Be the change you want to see in the world
and
discover who God made you to be! Join district youth as they continue their
training
as servant leaders with the first Eastern Shore R.E.A.C.H. mission camp. Eastern
Shore R.E.A.C.H. (Real Experiences Affecting Change) is partnering with Camp
Occohannock which will be our awesome home-base and each day we’ll go
out into
the community with a variety of opportunities to serve our neighbors. Experiences
may include home repair, activities with children, projects for the good of
the
environment, work at food banks, etc. We will work hard and play hard too!
