Annual Duck Dip - 2009
Camp
Occohannock hosted the first annual Polar Duck Dip on Saturday,
February 21, 2009 at 11:30 a.m.
Over 20 participants of all ages took a chilly
dip in the Occohannock Creek.
Dippers raised $5250.00
2012
REGISTRATION:
Registration fee is $20.00 and
if you register by January 18, 2012, you’ll receive
an original sweatshirt commemorating the event.
Additionally, for total contributions of:
$250 or more Polar Ducks will receive a commemorative coffee
mug;
$500 or more Polar Ducks will receive an embroidered towel
and commemorative coffee mug;
$1,000 or more Polar Ducks will receive an embroidered
towel, commemorative coffee mug and Camp base ball cap;
$2,000 or more Polar Ducks will receive an embroidered
towel, commemorative coffee mug, Camp base ball cap and
embroidered fleece jacket. Please read the Info

"Polar
Ducks" are requested to solicit sponsors in support
of their participation. Contact the Camp office at 757-442-7836
to register and for the sponsor and waiver forms or click
here (forms can download from the Directory)..
All ‘ducks’ must sign a waiver.
Ducks under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian
signature on the waiver and a parent or guardian on site
to participate. Parents/legal guardians must be present with
their child(ren) from the
beginning of the
event until the child leaves the premises.
Polar Duck Dipper Tips:
1) Bring a robe for warmth while waiting to plunge and
after drying off. 2) Bring water shoes for safety and
warmth. 3) Bring extra towels or a blanket for warmth.
4) Wear layered loose fitting clothing . . . easier to
get into when fingers are cold. 5) Plunge with friends.
Recruit others to participate! 6) No diving or entering
water head first!

for a Reason - January 28, 2012
2012 OOTB Polar Duck Dip Challenge
Occohannock on the Bay Camp and Retreat Center
will host the 4th annual Polar Duck Dip on Saturday, January
28, 2012 beginning at NOON at the camp located at
9403 Camp Lane Belle Haven, Virginia. Please
arrive by 11:00 a.m. so we can start the 'dip' at NOON.
This is a benefit event to support Camp ministries.
The General
Board, Executive Committee,
past, present, and future campers, staff, volunteers and
camp friends challenge you to be a ‘duck’.
If you are unable to ‘dip’, consider being
a ‘duck’ sponsor.
This is an day of fun!
Join us around the camp fire. Food and beverages will
be available to purchase. available.
The Exmore Fire Department and lifeguards are
on site for emergency assistance if needed.
Contribution/Pledge Forms are
available for a duck to sign-up sponsors.
