What are the directions to OOTB?

This may sound complex but you can see small signs with arrows beginning at the Town of Exmore at the Exxon Gas Station pointing the way.

Cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel ($12.00 one way for two axles*) stay on Route 13N. Travel about 1 hour on Route 13 to the town of Exmore. Turn north on Route 178 at the Exxon Gas Station. Go 1 mile, turn left on Route 178 at Phillips Hardware (small gas station/grocery store); Go 2.6 miles, turn left on to Route 613, Indian Trail Road. Go 1.4 miles to stop sign. Cross Craddockville Road and continue on Route 613. Go 1 mile and turn right on Route 612 (Scarsboroughs Neck Road). Go 0.6 miles; turn left on Route 611 (Occohannock Road). Road curves 1.1 miles to the Camp sign. Turn right onto Camp Lane and enter the camp. The Camp office is on the right once you pass Cabin #10.

*If crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel within 24 hours of your original crossing, present your Toll Receipt at the Toll Booth and receive a $7.00 discount on the $12.00 return trip across the Bay.

What contact numbers can I leave with my family in case of an emergency?

The camp office phone number is 757-442-7836. The phone number to the dining hall is 757-442-7789. Please note that cell phone reception is poor on camp property.

Are pets allowed at OOTB?

No, OOTB does not offer accommodations for pets. Service animals are the exception and OOTB will certainly make accommodations for such needs. Please make this information known at the time of reservation/registration.

What basic accommodations does OOTB offer?

Currently there are 10 cabins which can sleep 100 people using bunk beds. The cabins are heated and have air conditioning. Three bath house facilities are centrally located to the cabins and meeting space. A large dining hall with a screened in porch over look the water. An outdoor chapel brings God’s creation closer.

What types of meals does OOTB serve?

OOTB serves old-fashion, home cooked meals. This includes homemade hot yeast rolls and cinnamon buns.

Can OOTB accommodate vegetarian or other specialty dietary requirements?

Yes, please make these needs known at the time of reservation/registration.

What media equipment is present at OOTB?

OOTB has an overhead projector and screen, LCD Projector, TV, VCR and DVD player. The camp also has a sound system.

What music equipment is present at OOTB?

OOTB has a CD player, sound system, and an electronic digital keyboard.

Does OOTB have a camp store?

Yes, the Camp Store is located in the Camp Office. Items available for sale are Tee-shirts, polo shirts, caps, Official Camp Coffee Mugs and small Agape gifts. The camp store does not sell any food items.

Does OOTB offer Summer Camp?

Yes, OOTB offers a traditional Christian summer camp each year beginning mid-June to mid-August. Children from the ages of 5 to 16 enjoy fun, fellowship and learn about our Lord during a week long program. Specialty camps are also available such as soccer, sports camp, bay ecology and swimming. Pocomoke/Assateague Adventure and Outer Banks Beach Trek are also camp options. These camps include the theologically based program curriculum of the other camps as well as learning or improving skills in the specialty camp.

How can I support OOTB?

OOTB is truly a place where lives are changed and people experience more of who they are and their relationship with God. Many have chosen to contribute to OOTB through their United Way donations, recycle inkjet cartridges, private donations and special need donations. OOTB always has a wish list for unbudgeted but needed items.

Can the camp facilities be reserved and we provide our own food service?

Yes.

What do I need bring to OOTB for overnight stays?

Please bring items for your bed such as twin sheets, pillow and blanket. Some people chose to simplify by bringing a sleeping bag. For showering you will need to bring towels and washcloth. Certainly, bring your personal toiletries, appropriate clothing and walking shoes. When swimming, you will need a beach towel.

Does OOTB have facilities for weddings?

Yes, OOTB has had the privilege of seeing several couples united in marriage. The outdoor chapel is rustic but beautiful during this special occasion. Receptions have been held outside, in the screened in porch and dining hall.

How close is the nearest hospital?

Shore Memorial Hospital is approximately 30 minutes from the camp.
