Curriculum

Discovery 1-6

The 2011 curriculum entitled Got Spirit, Finding God in the Everyday, is biblically grounded; theologically informed; experientially based; and culturally aware; environmentally responsible; developmentally appropriate; and inclusive of all people. The curriculum was developed by the Committee on Outdoor Ministries of the National Council on Churches.

Through daily activities, Discoveries will focus on different aspects of the campers spiritual journey. Campers will focus on their roles as stewards of our environment, as described below:

Discovery 1: Wonder Makrs God Real Everyday (Psalm 8)
Discovery 2: Gratitude Makes God Real Everyday (Luke 17:11-19)
Discovery 3: Hospitality Makes God Real Everyday (Luke 24:13-35)
Discovery 4: Generosity Makes God Real Everyday (1 Corinthians 12:1-26)
Discovery 5: Worship Makrs God Real Everyday (Psalms 96 & 100)
Discovery 6: Living in Christ's Love Makes God Real Everyday (John 15:1-17)

Campers will continue to enjoy traditional age appropriate camp activities listed in each camp description.
