SUMMER CAMP 2008 (Special Events)

Summer Camp 2008 will provide living experiences in "a place set apart" to explore God's story, to experience the vitality of Christian community, and to grow in Christian faith.

The curriculum entitled "Handle With Care" is biblically grounded, theologically informed, experientially based, culturally aware, environmentally responsible, developmentally appropriate and inclusive of all persons.

Campers will continue to enjoy traditional age appropriate camp activities such as cabin and tent camping, outdoor cooking, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, hiking, crafts, challenge course, swimming, group games, singing/music, fishing, archery, water exploration, skits, devotions and much, much more.

You will also note that Camp Occohannock is offering several different camping opportunities this year including Soccer, Sports and Bay Ecology Camps. Additionally, campers will have the opportunity to combine traditional summer camp with community missions and a trip to a theme park during a 12 day camp. Beach Trek to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and Pocomoke/
Assateague Adventure returns.
